Valparaiso University's Jimmy Riker
(Tekonsha, Mich./Tekonsha H.S.) has been named to the 2006 Football Gazette Mid-Major All-American Second Team.
The fifth-year senior defensive lineman made 50 tackles this season for the Crusaders, including 8.0 for loss, a team high. In addition, he had three pass breakups and recovered a pair of fumbles.
Riker finished his career with the Crusaders with 161 tackles, including 39 for loss while recovering six fumbles.
This marks the 14th year Don Hansen's Football Gazette has selected an NCAA I-AA Mid-Major All-American Team.
