Valparaiso head men's basketball coach Homer Drew announced today that Benjamin Fumey (Bremen, Germany) and Michael Rogers (Kingston, Jamaica) have both passed through the NCAA Clearinghouse and will join the Crusader squad for the 2007-2008 campaign.

Fumey, a 6'7" forward, most recently suited up for the Germany national team at the Under-20 European Championships, helping the German squad to a third-place finish in the 'B' division.  Rogers attended Redemption Christian Academy in Troy, N.Y.

The duo joins Bryan Bouchie (Washington, Ind./Washington) and Howard Little (Crete, Ill./Stoneridge [Calif.] School) to comprise Valpo's four-player freshmen class.  Eight returnees round out the 2007-2008 Valpo squad, which moves to the Horizon League this season.
