Valparaiso dropped a dual meet to Eastern Illinois 150-54 on Saturday afternoon in Charleston, Ill.

The Crusaders won just one event on the afternoon as Mike Hermes (Hudson, Ill./U-High) took home top honors in the 200 breaststroke. The junior touched the wall in 2:14.75.

Bob Pedersen (Urbana, Ill./Urbana H.S.) registered Valpo's lone second place finish with his 2:08.06 effort in the 200 individual medley.

The Crusaders will take a week off before returning to the pool on Feb. 7 at Illinois-Chicago.
