Valparaiso University sophomore Tyler Neemann (Manassas, Va./Stonewall Jackson H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week following his performance on the Crusaders spring trip.

Neemann registered Valpo's lone singles victory against Stetson, rallied from a set down for a 1-6, 6-2, 10-8 win at fourth singles.

He then helped the Brown and Gold record their first team victory of the spring season at Bethune Cookman by a score of 4-3 with his 6-3, 6-2 victory in singles.

The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday afternoon at IPFW. The match is slated to begin at noon CST.
