Valparaiso University's Rachel Nelson (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit H.S.) and Amy Mikel (Lemont, Ill./Fenwick, H.S.) each earned Second Team All Mid-Continent Conference honors at the 2002 Mid-Continent Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning.

Nelson, a sophomore, earned the honor after finishing in eighth place in the meet with a time of 23:00 over six-kilometers.

Mikel, a junior, finished in 13th place overall with a time of 23:17.
