After an error in the timing was corrected, Rachel Nelson (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit H.S.) ended up setting the Valparaiso University six-kilometer school record.

Times were incorrectly report earlier, and Nelson actually crossed the finish line in 22:43, two seconds better than her previous record.

Other times that changed included Amy Mikel (Lemont, Ill./Fenwick H.S.) who crossed the line in 23:14, Elizabeth Whiting (Parma, Mich./Western H.S.) who's time was 23:52, Heidi Nathan (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford H.S.) with a time of 24:00, and Amanda Lee (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon H.S.) who finished in 24:22. Rachel Stoehr (Antigo, Wis./Antigo H.S.) placed 42nd with a time of 25:15.
