Valparaiso University's Nate Nunnelly (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week in men's track and field following his victory at the Boilermaker Open on Saturday.

The redshirt-junior won the 800m run breaking the tape in 1:53.73, more than two seconds ahead of his nearest competitor. His time marked the second fastest time in the conference this season and was also the second fastest in Valpo school history.
