Valparaiso University's Leah Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week in swimming following one of the best weekends of her young career.

The freshman posted her top 100 freestyle time of the year (55.67) on Friday against Illinois-Chicago, recording the victory in the event. She then anchored the first place scoring 200 free relay (1:45.63).

On Saturday, she again anchored the winning 200 free relay against Cleveland State (1:44.27) and placed second in both the 100 free (55.94) and 200 free (2:01.94) events.
