The Valparaiso University indoor track and field season came to a close at the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame, Ind. on Friday and Saturday.

Friday night, Amanda Meyer (Somerset, Wis./Somerset H.S.) finished in a tie for 18th place in the pole vault, clearing 10'6".

On Saturday, a pair of Crusaders turned in personal bests on the oval. In the 400m dash, Maggie Zellner (Downers Grove, Ill./Benet Academy) finished in ninth place with a time of 59.29 seconds. The mile saw Rachel Nelson (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit H.S.) cross the finish line in 18th place, posting a time of 5:00.60.

The outdoor season will begin on March 28-29 when the Brown and Gold travel to both the Purdue Open and the Stanford Invitational.
