The Valparaiso women's swimming and diving team dropped a 139-80 decision to Ball State on Friday evening in Muncie, Ind.

Allison Clark (Shorewood, Wis./Shorewood H.S.) earned a runner-up finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:14.78, while Laura Sadowski (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield East H.S.) finished in the same position in the 200 butterfly. Sadowski touched the wall in 2:17.40.

Britt Nelson (Cortland, N.Y./Homer H.S.) was the first to touch the wall in the 500 free, earning a time of 5:22.16. The sophomore was a victor by nearly eight seconds.

Valpo (1-4) will return to the pool on Sunday afternoon, when the Crusaders travel to Indianapolis for a 12 p.m. CST meet at Butler. The Brown and Gold will also compete against Saint Louis.
