Valparaiso University's Monika Danko (Northfield, Ill./New Trier H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week after registering a pair of victories against Olivet Nazarene last week.

The senior posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory at number two singles, then teamed with Christina Scala (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South H.S.) for an easy 8-0 win at first doubles, helping Valpo to a 7-2 team victory.

Valpo will take on Chicago State and Wisconsin-Green Bay this Saturday in Green Bay, Wis.
