Valparaiso University's Matt Larson (Arlington Heights, Ill./Saint Viator H.S.) was the lone Crusader to compete for the men on Friday evening at the Meyo Invitational held in Notre Dame, Ind.

The fifth-year senior turned in an effort of 46'4 ¾" (14.14m) in the weight throw to place 25th on the evening. The toss was about six feet shy of his season's best.

Valpo will return to action next Saturday as the entire team hits the oval at the DePauw Invitational. The meet will begin at 10 a.m. CST in Greencastle, Ind.
