Valparaiso University's Jill Dierberg (Saint Louis, Mo./Lutheran South H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week after posting a 6-2 combined record last weekend at the Windy City Invitational hosted by Chicago State.

The senior went 3-1 in singles action, winning three straight matches after an opening round defeat to capture the consolation draw title in the B Flight. Dierberg also teamed with Rachel Janssen (Fort Wayne, Ind./Dwenger H.S.) to post a 3-1 record in doubles action.
