Valparaiso University's David Peterson (Schererville, Ind./Schererville H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week after posting five first place finishes last weekend in a pair of meets.

The junior won the 200 individual medley, the 200 breaststroke, and the 100 breaststroke in the Crusaders' dual meet at Xavier (Ohio) last Friday. In Sunday's quadrangular meet at Butler with Saint Louis and Evansville as well, Peterson posted victories in the 200 breaststroke and the 200 individual medley.

He holds the top time in the Mid-Con in all three events at this point in the season.
