The Valpo Sports Radio Network will cover all of Northwest Indiana for both Valparaiso University football and men's basketball beginning with the football season opener on September 3 at Wisconsin Lutheran.

Four Northwest Indiana stations, WAKE (1500-AM, Valparaiso), WVUR (95.1-FM, Valparaiso), WE-FM (95.9-FM, Michigan City), and Relevant Radio (WWCA, 1270-AM, Gary) will carry live coverage of all football and men's basketball games throughout the 2005-2006 season.

?We are excited for the large coverage area throughout Northwest Indiana," Mark LaBarbera, Valparaiso University Director of Athletics said. ?I am pleased all of the residents of Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties will be able to listen to Valpo football and basketball. We are able to join our two long-time broadcast partners, WVUR and WE-FM, with our historic affiliate, WAKE, while also adding a new station in Relevant Radio in Gary."

The games will also be available through the internet at www.valpo.edu/athletics.

Todd Ickow will handle the play-by-play for all of the action, while Brent Whitlock will provide color commentary.
