Valparaiso went on the road for the first time since the holiday break on Friday evening and dropped a 124-69 decision to Illinois-Chicago in the Windy City.

Leah Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) notched Valpo's lone victory in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.71.

Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.) turned in a second place finish in the 50 freestyle for the Crusaders, finishing with a time of 25.93 seconds. Gregory also finished second in the 500 free with her mark of 5:25.93.

The Crusaders will return to the pool on January 20 for their first home meet of the season. Valpo (1-9) will face Cleveland State beginning at 6 p.m. at the Athletics-Recreation Center Pool.
