Valparaiso defeated one of its three opponents on Sunday afternoon as the Crusaders downed Butler in a quadrangular meet in Carmel, Ind.

Valpo topped the host Bulldogs 100-88 but fell to Saint Louis 163-55 and Evansville 153-57.
Tina Vande Vusse (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West H.S.) won the only event for the Brown and Gold, taking home the victory in the 50 freestyle. The freshman touched the wall in 25.10 seconds.

Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.) placed fourth in the 200 freestyle with a mark of 2:03.10 while Leah Parker (Cleburne, Texas/Cleburne H.S.) earned the same position in the 200 breaststroke (2:37.11).

Valpo (1-3) will return to the pool November 4-5 in Charleston, Ill. in the Eastern Illinois Invitational. Friday's events begin at 5 p.m. with Saturday's action starting at 8 a.m.
