Valparaiso wrapped up the road portion of its dual meet season on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 138-94 decision to Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Ill.

The Crusaders posted a pair of individual victories as well as a relay, but it was not enough to overcome the depth of the Panthers.

Anna Orwick (Broadlands, Ill./Champaign Centennial H.S.) won the one-meter diving competition with a score of 191.45 while Elizabeth Thompson (Norman, Okla./North H.S.) posted a victory in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:13.09.

Valpo posted a victory in the final event of the day, the 400 freestyle relay as well. Rachel Majercik (Schaumberg, Ill./Conant H.S.), Jaclyn Krause (Rochester, Mich./Notre Dame Prep H.S.), Kati Smethurst (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge H.S.), and Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.) finished with a time of 3:44.67.

Valparaiso will close out the dual meet portion of its schedule next Saturday as the Crusaders host future Horizon League foe UIC at the Athletics-Recreation Center pool. The first event begins at 1 p.m.
