Emilie Marsicek (Spalding, Mich./Carney-Nadeau) closed out her impressive career in a Crusader uniform Saturday at the NCAA Mideast Regional in Fayetteville, Ark., competing among the region’s elite athletes in the shot put.

Marsicek, who also participated in the discus throw on Friday at the regional meet, placed 32^nd out of 40 competitors in the shot put.  The senior, who qualified for the event by winning the Horizon League title, registered a mark of 45’2 ½” on Saturday.
