            Valparaiso dropped both ends of a double-dual meet on Saturday afternoon in Carmel, Ind.  The Crusaders fell 134-60 against Saint Louis and 111-81 versus Evansville.

            Adam Jajtner (Port Washington, Ill./Port Washington H.S.) finished second in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:26.52, matching the Crusaders’ top finish on the day.  Jajtner also finished third for the Brown and Gold in the 500 free with a time of 4:59.38.

            Ansel Hillmer (Tampa, Fla./Hillsborough H.S.) also earned a runner-up finish for Valpo in the 200 butterfly with his time of 2:02.91, a season’s best.

            Valpo’s 400 freestyle earned a second place finish as Blake Edwards (Orange, Calif./Lutheran H.S. of Orange County), Hillmer, Jajtner, and David Sivak (Hobart, Ind./Hobart H.S.) finished the race in a time of 3:24.10.

            Valparaiso (0-4) will open the home portion of the schedule on Saturday morning, October 27, as the Crusaders host Horizon League foe Wright State.  The first race begins at 11 a.m. CDT at the Athletics-Recreation Center pool.
