Senior Melanie Wilson (Saint Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain) ran the second-fastest time of her career in the 60m hurdles as she competed Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind.

Wilson covered the course in 8.88 seconds for her second-best career effort in the event, coming up shy of only her league-championship winning effort last weekend.  The senior was 16^th-fastest in the elite field of runners Saturday, but did not qualify for the event finals.
