Valparaiso baseball signee Kyle Gaedele of Arlington Heights, Ill. was chosen Friday by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 32^nd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.

Gaedele, who signed a National Letter of Intent in December to attend Valparaiso starting in the fall of 2008, went to the Rays with the 953^rd overall pick of the draft.  Gaedele, a three-year starter in the outfield at Rolling Meadows H.S., hit .440 as a senior with seven home runs and 28 RBIs.
