The Valparaiso women’s swimming team continued its 2012-2013 campaign on Friday, falling 151-54 in a dual meet at IUPUI.

Sophomore Flavia Segatto (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Charleow Flanigan) swam to a trio of second-place finishes on Friday.  Segatto was the runner-up in the 1000 freestyle (10:56.22), 200 individual medley (2:19.00) and the 100 butterfly (1:03.03).

Junior Andrea Bretl (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) paced the Crusaders in a pair of middle distance events, finishing second in the 500 free (5:23.34) and fourth in the 200 free (2:01.40).  Freshman Ciara Lightner (Dixon, Ill./Dixon) and sophomore Lauren Knop (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) finished second in the 50 free (25.95) and 100 back (1:04.41), respectively.

Valparaiso continues the 2012-2013 season on Saturday at Lewis University, slated for a 1 p.m. start.
