Freshmen Antwon Hatchett (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) and Alex Ahlgrim (Manhatten, Ill./Lincoln Way Central) led the Crusader men’s track and field team on day one of the YSU Mid-Major Invitational in Youngstown, Ohio.

Hatchett and Ahlgirm finished ninth and 11^th, respectively in the 500-meter dash. Hatchett crossed the line with a time of 1:09.87, and Ahlgrim posted a time of 1:10.33.

Ryan Stegenga (South Holland, Ill./Illiana Christian) led the Crusaders on the field with a mark of 4’3 ¼” to finish 14^th in the weight throw.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday for day two of the YSU Mid-Major Invitational, as well as at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
