Kasey Teegardin was named the Crusaders’ special teams coordinator and linebackers coach in June of 2012.

Teegardin arrived at Valpo from Northwood University in Midland, Mich. where he was the team’s secondary coach and also served as the team’s academic liaison during the 2011 campaign.  Prior to Northwood, he spent four seasons at the University of Charleston in West Virginia, spending 2010 as the defensive coordinator.  The team’s defense finished 19th nationally defending the run.

Teegardin also played linebacker at Charleston for four years, and was twice named a team captain.  He led the Golden Eagles to a pair of 8-3 seasons during his career.

Teegardin is a 2007 graduation from Charleston with a degree in sport management.  He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the school in 2008.
