The constant rains of the past week, combined with the possibility of more rain this afternoon, have rendered Valparaiso’s softball field unplayable and forced the cancelation of Thursday afternoon’s scheduled contest against Big East leader DePaul.  The game will not be made up.

This marks the second straight non-league game the Crusaders have lost due to rain.  Valpo looks to return to action this weekend at Green Bay for a three-game Horizon League series, scheduled to begin with a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
