Valparaiso dropped its sixth straight game on Wednesday afternoon 4-1 to Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, Mich. The second game of the doubleheader was called due to rain.

The Broncos opened the scoring in the second on an RBI single by Jaymie Voss. The Crusaders tied the game in the top of the fourth.

Stephanie Reinke (Parker, Colo./J.K. Mullen H.S.) doubled and scored on a single by Tricia Speziale (Elmhurst, Ill./York H.S.).

The Broncos answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning on a triple and a single, then tacked on an insurance run in the fifth.
