Valparaiso's softball team will have to wait another week before opening its new field as the Crusaders game scheduled for Thursday against Loyola (Ill.) has been postponed due to wet grounds.

The two schools will look to reschedule the doubleheader later in the season.

The Crusaders will return to action on Friday, April 4 when the Brown and Gold open the new Valparaiso University Softball Field against Southern Utah in a Mid-Continent Conference doubleheader. Field dedication ceremonies will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the first pitch thrown at 1:30 p.m.
