The Valparaiso softball team struggled in its final fall tournament, dropping all four games at the IUPUI Tournament over the weekend.

In the opener against Ball State, Ali Bultman went 2-for-3, but it was not enough as the Cardinals blanked the Crusaders 3-0.

Game two saw Valpo drop a 3-2 contest at the hands of St. Joseph's (Ind.). Tricia Speziale had an RBI double for the Brown and Gold.

In the final game of pool play, eight Crusader errors cost Valpo in a 13-0 loss to Indianapolis. Bridget Schwoegler went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice bunt.

In bracket play, the Crusader fell 4-1 to the host Jaguars as Erica Dahlmeier drove home the lone run with a sacrifice fly.
