Crusaders Lose Final Two at Centenary
Saturday, March 26, 2005
Megan Carroll went 3-for-4 with a homerun and two RBIs in the opener, but Centenary swept a Mid-Continent Conference doubleheader against Valparaiso on Satuday 7-2 and 9-1 in Shreveport, La.

Centenary (14-14, 4-0 Mid-Con) scored four times in the first of the opener on the way to winning game one. Carroll led off the third with a homer to center and added another RBI in the seventh but it was not enough for the Brown and Gold.

In the nightcap, Carroll put the Crusaders in front in the first, scoring an unearned run but Valpo managed just three hits in the game. The Ladies scored three times in the fifth and five in the sixth on the way to the win.

Valparaiso (0-17, 0-4) will travel to Notre Dame on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. CST doubleheader against the Fighting Irish.
