Crusaders Name Eric Breece Graduate Assistant Coach

Eric Breece, a 2006 graduate of Michigan State University, has joined the Valparaiso University softball program as a Graduate Assistant Coach, the school announced today.

A native of Elk Rapids, Mich., Breece comes to the Crusaders after spending the last four seasons as a Volunteer Assistant Coach and manager with the Spartan softball team. In 2004, Breece and the Spartans captured the first Big Ten Conference Tournament Championship in school history, downing Illinois 7-5 in the final game.

?Eric brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and most importantly passion to Valparaiso softball," Head Coach Randy Schneider said. ?And he came highly recommended from (Michigan State Head Coach) Jacquie Joseph."

Breece, who earned his undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Human Resources, is currently enrolled in the Sports Management graduate program at Valparaiso.
