Crusader Softball Program to Host Winter Clinics
The Crusaders will be hosting clinics on three different dates this winter. (Ray Acevedo)

The Valparaiso University softball program will be hosting beginner and advanced hitting and pitching clinics on Sunday, Jan. 30, as well as an advanced all-skills clinic on Sunday, Feb. 20 and a beginner all-skills clinic on Sunday, March 20.

The beginner hitting clinic will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Jan. 30, with the beginner pitching clinic scheduled for 1 p.m.-3 p.m. that day.  The advanced pitching clinic will be held 10 a.m.-noon, followed by the advanced hitting clinic from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.  The beginners clinics are for youths ages 12 and under, while the advanced clinics are for ages 13-18.

Both the advanced all-skills clinic on Feb. 20 and the beginner all-skills clinic on March 20 will run from noon-3 p.m. on their respective dates.  The advanced clinic is for high school age youths only, while the beginner’s clinic is for children ages 13 and under.

The cost of each clinic is $55 apiece for those campers who register at least 15 days in advance, with a free t-shirt also guaranteed.  In the two weeks leading up to each clinic and including walk-in registration, the cost of each clinic will be $65 apiece.  A registration form is attached that can be mailed in to the address noted on the form to register.  For more information on the clinics, visit www.valposoftballclinics.com.
