The Valparaiso softball program will be hosting a pair of camps for youths in grades 2-12 this winter.  A winter All-Skills Camp will be held at the ARC on Sunday, January 18, while a Hitting and Pitching Camp will be held at the ARC on Sunday, February 15.

At the All-Skills Camp, participants will receive instruction from the entire Valpo Softball staff. Additionally, members of the current team will be present to help with instruction and interact with the campers. Campers will be able to work on both offensive and defensive skills. For pitching, this does not include pitching instruction, other than defense relating to the pitching position. Small group instruction will be used both for hitting and defense to guarantee campers skill instruction from both Valpo Softball staff and team members.

At the Hitting and Pitching Camp, campers will receive instruction from the entire Valpo Softball staff and team members. Hitting will include instruction to help improve skills for hitting for power and increase average. Pitching sessions will help pitchers improve mechanics to spin the ball better, throw harder, and get batters out.
