Head coach Kate Stake and the Valparaiso softball program will host a Fall Experience Camp on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Valparaiso University Softball Field. The camp is open to players who will graduate from high school from 2017 through 2022. As part of the camp, the softball program will hold an unofficial visit day the previous day – Friday, Oct. 7 – for any campers who wish to attend.

Campers will learn and exhibit offensive skills, defensive skills, pitching, catching, and base running through drills and games. The camp will also provide informational sessions on recruiting and collegiate academic demands, strength and sport specific training, team building, and mental training.

For the first time this year, in conjunction with the fall experience camp, the softball program will host an unofficial visit day on the Friday before the camp. The goal of the visit day is to expose each participant to the inner workings of the recruiting process and being a Division I athlete. The visit will include a Q&A on recruiting and academics, a campus tour and the chance to observe a Valpo practice.
