Steve Bartholomew

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Steve Bartholomew is in his second season as the strength and conditioning coach for the Crusader softball program in 2011.

Bartholomew, who also has previously worked with the Valpo track and field program, is responsible for all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for the Crusader team.  He creates and oversees the workout regiments for each of the players and works with the team in the weight room.  The Crusaders set numerous new school offensive records in 2010 in their first season of working with Bartholomew.

Bartholomew joined the Crusader athletic staff after a standout career as a member of the track and field team.  A two-time league Athlete of the Year, he holds Valpo school records indoors in the weight throw and outdoors in the discus and hammer throws.  Following his collegiate career, Bartholomew continued to compete nationally in the throwing events following graduation and twice earned a spot at the USA Track and Field Indoor National Championships in the weight throw.

Bartholomew graduated from Valparaiso in 2008 with a degree in management.
