Valpo Hosts Horizon League Tournament and Squares off on Saturday in Semifinals

This weekend Valparaiso hosts the Horizon League tournament, with the winning team securing a bid to the NCAA tournament. Students still needing tickets can purchase them at the ARC for a mere $10.

This weekend is sure to be a historic moment in Crusader basketball , as the program has the opportunity to play for a spot in the NCAA tournament in front of their home fans after securing their first ever regular-season conference title and a double bye in the conference tournament.

For the Crusaders, it's also an opportunity for Horizon League Player of the Year Ryan Broekhoff to put his skills on display for a national TV audience. Similarly, Valpo is also home to Horizon League Coach of the Year Bryce Drew, who went an impressive 21-10 in his first season after taking over for his father and mentor, Homer Drew.

The Crusaders are always successful at home. In fact, Valpo holds an impressive 13-2 record this season at the ARC and overall boasts a record of 259-112 or a 69.8% winning percentage all-time.

Valpo will take on the winner of Friday's game: Milwaukee v Butler. You can catch Valpo's semi final game on Saturday at 7:30 at the ARC or on ESPNU.
