The Valparaiso University volleyball team beat Fairfield University (32-30, 30-22, 30-28) Saturday night to win the Crusader Classic Tournament.

Valpo went undefeated in the two-day tournament, beating Jacksonville University Saturday morning and Northeastern University Friday night.

In the match against Fairfield, Marion Hansen led the Crusaders with 39 attacks. She also led the team defensively with 21 digs.

Laurie Brands led the Stags with 56 attacks, and Casey Machon led on the defensive side with 16 digs.
