Valparaiso University has announced that Heather Hynds will join the volleyball staff as a graduate assistant coach beginning this fall.

Hynds will handle community service and fundraising, and assist with team travel along with recruiting.

She played for the Crusaders from 2000-2003 and was a Second Team All Mid-Continent Conference selection as a junior. She finished second in school history with 443 career blocks.

Hynds will begin her duties on the Valpo bench on August 1.
