Valparaiso University volleyball player Lauren Moulton (Elgin, Ill./Larkin H.S.) was named the Mid-Continent Conference Female Athlete of the Month in October.

She helped the Crusaders go 8-2 during the month, including a perfect 8-0 in Mid-Con play. She hit .392 in ten matches during October, averaging 3.53 kills per game. She also hit .429 in conference play, tallying 3.81 kills and 1.15 blocks per game against Mid-Con competition.

Oakland soccer player Jeff Wiese earned the Men's Athlete of the Month honors.
