Valparaiso University's Cyndi Norman (Minooka, Ill./Minooka H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Crusaders to the Popcorn Classic championship over the weekend.

The senior setter averaged 12.12 assists per game in the three matches and helped the Brown and Gold hit .242 as a team. She helped the cause by hitting .600 (9-0-15) and also averaged 2.38 digs per game.

Norman, who moved into sixth place on the Mid-Con's career assist list with 3,782, was named to the Popcorn Classic All-Tournament Team.

She is the second Crusader in as many weeks to earn a Player of the Week award as Liz Mikos (Dundee, Ill./Jacobs H.S.) earned the defensive honor last week.

Valpo (8-0), off to the best start in Mid-Con history, will return to action on Tuesday evening when the Brown and Gold travel to Notre Dame to battle the #15 Fighting Irish.
