Porché Earns All-Tournament Accolades at Pitt

Valparaiso senior outside hitter Angie Porché (Lynwood, Ill./Thornton Fractional South) represented the Crusaders on the Pitt Blue and Gold Tournament All-Tournament Team, as announced Sunday evening by the host Panthers.

Porché kicked off the tournament with a team-best ten kills on .364 hitting, while also chipping in six digs, as the Crusaders swept Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday morning.  The senior then came up with her best performance of the season that evening, tallying a team-high 17 kills while hitting at a .433 clip and also picking up eight digs as Valpo took on Big East foe Pittsburgh.

On the season, the senior leads Valpo with 3.14 kills/set and is hitting .226, while also picking up 2.21 digs/set, second-most on the team.  Porché and the rest of the Crusaders will open the home campaign on Friday evening at 7 p.m. at the ARC with a Horizon League matchup against Wright State.
