Following her second Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week award of the season, Valparaiso junior setter Jenny Pokorny (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) was again voted as ‘The People’s Choice’ on the Horizon League Network.  Pokorny is currently spotlighted in a video on the Horizon League website via phone interview.

Pokorny was up for ‘The People’s Choice’ voting after a stellar all-around performance in a victory over Wright State last Saturday.  The junior setter handed out 36 assists and hit .346 with a career-high 11 kills before tallying her 10th dig of the match on the match’s final point, good for her second career triple-double.  She was also in on a career-best five blocks and chipped in a pair of service aces.  For the week, Pokorny averaged 9.43 assists, 2.43 digs, 1.71 kills and 0.86 blocks per set.

In this week’s video, Pokorny talks with HLN’s Jaclyn Bevis about the week that was, looking back at both Friday night’s loss at Butler as well as Saturday’s win against Wright State.  She also discusses the triple-double and what it took to make it happen, and also takes a look ahead at an approaching milestone for the Crusader program.

Pokorny and the rest of the Crusaders return to action Saturday night at the ARC in Horizon League action against UIC.  First serve is set for 6 p.m.
