The Valparaiso University women's basketball team, coming off of its first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history, will play four games against teams that also participated in the tournament last season including a rematch with the Crusaders first round opponent, Purdue, at the Athletics-Recreation Center.

Valpo will open its season at the Women's Sports Foundation Tournament on November 15 against the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore. The Crusaders will then face an Elite Eight team, either LSU or Villanova, in round two.

The Brown and Gold will then return to Indiana where they will head to Notre Dame on November 21 to battle another Sweet Sixteen team in the Fighting Irish.

Valpo's home opener is set for November 25 against St. Francis (Ind.) before the Crusaders host Purdue on December 3. The Boilermakers defeated Valpo 66-51 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 22.

The Crusaders will host the Hoosier State Classic on December 6. Valpo will play Butler in the day's second game, with Indiana State and Ball State meeting one another in the opener.

Valpo's non-conference schedule also includes a trip to Chicago on December 21 to take on DePaul, the fourth NCAA Tournament participant on the Crusaders schedule.

The Mid-Continent Conference slate will open on January 3 at Oakland, while the Crusaders will host Western Illinois, last year's regular season champion and WNIT participant, on January 17.

The Crusaders will look to defend their Mid-Con Tournament title in Kansas City, Mo. March 6-9.
