Valparaiso University's Jenna Stangler (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week after leading the Crusaders to a pair of victories last week.

The senior forward averaged 19.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 72.7% (16-of-22) from the floor in wins at Oakland and at home against Oral Roberts. She also averaged 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals along with shooting 87.5% (7-of-8) from the free throw line.

Stangler tallied a game-high 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and grabbed a team-best eight rebounds on the road against the Golden Grizzlies last Wednesday. Saturday, against Oral Roberts, she added 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbed six boards.

Stangler is the second Crusader this season to earn the honor, as Carrie Myers (Stickleyville, Va./Lee H.S.) captured the award on December 14.
