Myers Named Mid-Con Player of the Week in Women's Hoops

Valparaiso University's Carrie Myers (Stickleyville, Va./Lee H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball after her performances last week.

Myers came off the bench and scored a career-high 23 points last Wednesday in Valpo's victory over Central Michigan. The sophomore guard connected on 7-of-12 three-point attempts, helping the Crusaders to a school record 17 threes. She also added five rebounds and a career-high five assists.

Saturday in Valpo's one-point loss to Miami (Ohio), Myers added 11 points, including three triples, while dishing out two more assists.

For the week, Myers averaged 17 points and 3.5 assists per game.
