Valpo's Kulaga Named to Horizon League's Preseason Second Team

            Valparaiso University senior Agnieszka Kulaga (Tarnow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace H.S.) has been named to the Horizon League’s Preseason Second Team as voted upon by the conference’s head coaches, sports information directors, and selected media members.

            Kulaga, a 5’6” guard averaged 14.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game for the Crusaders in 2007-2008.  In addition, she added 3.6 assists and shot a team-leading 84.6% from the free throw line.

            A Second Team All-Horizon League selection, she earned conference Player of the Week honors three times and posted a triple-double in Valpo’s home victory against league champion Green Bay.

            She also earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V Second Team honors.

            Kulaga and the Crusaders open exhibition play on November 1 hosting Concordia (Wis.) at the Athletics-Recreation Center.  Valpo’s regular season opener is also at home on November 19 against Bowling Green.
