The Valparaiso University women’s basketball program will host its 17^th annual Fall Coaches’ Clinic on September 23-24 at the Athletics-Recreation Center.  The event will feature three collegiate head coaches as well as the Crusader women’s coaching staff.

Joe McKeown, the women’s head coach at Northwestern, will give a presentation on zone defense.  He has been at Northwestern for three years and led the Wildcats to back-to-back WNIT appearances.

Harry Perretta, the women’s head coach at Villanova, will present on set plays.  He has won more than 600 collegiate games and is his 34^th year with the Wildcats.

Doug Porter, from Olivet Nazarene, will speak on his school’s offense and defense.  He is a six time conference Coach of the Year and is approaching 300 career victories.

The cost of the clinic is $100 with multiple coaches from the same school eligible for various discounted prices.  There is also a one-day option for the clinic.  Early registration before September 16 will result in a $10 discount per coach.  For more information or to register, contact Julie Brinson at 219.464.5146 or Julie.brinson@valpo.edu.
