Meredith Baugher

Assistant Coach

Meredith Baugher was named an assistant coach for the Crusader women’s basketball program prior to the 2005-2006 season.

Baugher helps coach the post players, assists with scouting, and was also named the team’s recruiting coordinator prior to the 2007-2008 school year.  In her first year on the Valpo sidelines, Baugher helped with film exchange, produced publications for coaches and alumni, and assisted the recruiting coordinator.

In Baugher’s second season as an assistant coach with the Brown and Gold, she helped the Crusaders to a second place finish in the Mid-Continent Conference as Valpo posted a 20-11 season, the team’s fifth 20-win season in school history.

A four-year letterwinner for the Crusaders from 2001-2005, Baugher averaged nearly six points and four rebounds per game over the course of her career.  During her sophomore campaign, she averaged a career-best 8.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest.

While wearing the Brown and Gold, Baugher helped lead the Crusaders to two NCAA Tournament appearances, a quarterfinal trip to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament, a Mid-Continent Conference regular season title, and two Mid-Con Tournament crowns.

She earned Honorable Mention All Mid-Con accolades as a sophomore.  Baugher also excelled in the classroom earning Mid-Con All-Academic Team honors three seasons.

Baugher earned her bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso in 2005 majoring in public relations and French and is currently completing her master’s degree in sports administration at the university.
