Aimee Litka has joined the Valparaiso University basketball staff prior to the 2009-2010 season as a student assistant after playing for the Crusaders for the past four seasons.
Litka assists the Crusaders in a variety of capacities. She handles all of Valpo’s film exchange and oversees the filming of Crusader games and practices. She also helps with publications for coaches and alumni, and assists with campus recruiting. Litka also helps with the day-to-day operation of the women’s basketball office.
Litka played for Valpo from 2005-2009 where she helped Valpo to 66 victories over four seasons. She is tied for fourth all-time in a Crusader uniform with 171 career three-point field goals, and ranks 16th on the scoring list with 944 career points.
As a senior, Litka led Valpo in scoring averaging 11.8 points per game, a total that ranked her ninth in the Horizon League. She was second in the conference averaging 2.3 triples per game while ranking eighth connecting on 37.3% from long range.
Litka also succeeded in the classroom, being named to the Horizon League Fall and Spring Academic Honor Rolls as a junior and senior as well as the Mid-Continent Conference All-Academic Team and the Mid-Con Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence as a sophomore.
Litka graduated from Valpo in 2008 with her bachelor’s degree in sports management and is currently working on her master’s degree from the university in sports administration.
