Rashida Ray joins the Valparaiso staff this season after playing for the Brown and Gold the last four years. She will help handle all of the team’s video needs
Ray appeared in 94 games for the Crusaders, making 34 career starts. She had her best season of her career as a senior, scoring 5.5 points per contest. She finished her career as a 77.4% free throw shooter as well.
As a senior, she made seven three-point field goals against Milwaukee, ranking fourth on the all-time charts for triples made in a game. Her 7-of-8 shooting in that game also set a new school mark for three-point field goal percentage in a single game.
Ray is a 2011 graduate of Valparaiso with a degree in nursing. She is now working on her master’s degree in nursing education.
